Currently, SHIFT has three team clusters: Technical, Business, and Management. Although each specialises in one particular side of our project, there is great communication among them, so if you feel like using your expertise in one field while learning something new, this is the team for you!

Technical cluster
We are currently seeking valuable people to join the Technical Cluster of our team in support of the development of the SHIFT Energy System. This cluster aims to create an AI-driven, hydrogen-enabled energy management system for microgrids, focusing on designing and integrating the optimal combination of solar PV, battery storage, electrolyzers, hydrogen storage, and fuel cells. Our goal is to build an EMS that can predict, optimize, and securely control energy flows within hospitals and climate-controlled greenhouses. This includes forecasting solar production, modelling crop-dependent heat and electricity loads, and determining when to store, convert, or use energy in the most efficient and resilient way.
Do you have experience in machine learning, simulation, power systems, modelling & optimization, hydrogen technologies, chemistry, cybersecurity, or embedded programming, or skills you believe could contribute? Then this is the right place for you!
Business cluster
What would be a project without a business model? The business cluster is working on two aspects. Firstly, the societal one trying to answer the question of how hydrogen is perceived by the general public. The second aspect focuses on economics. We analyze the full costs of hydrogen production and storage, identify the components that drive those costs, and explore opportunities to reduce them. The ultimate goal is to quantify the value for the end user and build a sustainable, scalable business model. To strengthen the team, we are looking for people intrested in economics, financial analysis, PR and outreach, and market research.

Management cluster
What would we do with our innovation if nobody knew about it? The management cluster looks into possible collaboration with farmers, business owners, financiers, technical and legal experts and keeps contact with them so that we have an intricate web of relations that will make our project successful.
